Khalid Peer: The team that assisted me was very assuring that the vehicle will be found. As the car was stolen during the peak of the holidays, it was good to get feedback very often whenever the car moved. I was very happy when Tracetec worked with the SAPS and apprehended the criminals at Villiers Toll on the N3 9 days later. Tracetec kept up the search and tracked the vehicle for 9 days as the vehicle was moved from Isipingo in Durban along the N3 to Villiers in the Free State. The detectives from the SAPS showed me the evidence and how difficult it would have been to identify my vehicle had not the Tracetec team assist the SAPS. Well done Team. By the way, the panel beaters have shown me that the syndicate stripped the vehicle and rebuilt it for 9 days while in hiding trying to find the tracking unit and they were unable to do so. Erik Mathiesen: We had an armed robbery on 1 Dec 2012 and our vehicle was taken. It took 3 weeks but Tracetec assisted in arresting two occupants in our vehicle and recovered the car. My wife loved her mini and despite the enormous admin to police clear and get the car from the pound we are very grateful that she has her car back. I was sceptical at first when they could not locate the car in the first week but their persistence paid off and they came through and delivered on their service agreement to locate and recover the vehicle. Cobus Malan: I bought a new motorbike in November 2010 and had a Tracetec tracking unit installed. In the purchase process, the Bike dealership never sent my registration information to Tracetec, which implies I was never loaded on their system and never made a payment to Tracetec. At the end of March 2011, my new bike was stolen. When I tried to activate the tracking unit there was obviously some problems since Tracetec wasn’t aware of my bike or tracking unit due to the bike dealership negligence. I contacted Tracetec in the hopes that they might be able to assist me with this. Even though I have never made a single payment to them, the Tracetec team started investigating the theft. They started tracking my bike and they continuously sent me tracking reports and kept me up to date with the investigation. They also assisted with the insurance claim, sending as much as possible information to my insurer. It is now the 10th of October 2011, and I’m happy to report that with all the efforts of Tracetec my motorbike has been recovered this weekend! I can’t thank the Tracetec team enough for all the effort they did. You guys are doing a fantastic job and really made me feel that someone out there actually cares. Keep it up Tracetec!
