VOLVO TRUCK RECOVERED AT THE KOMATIEPORT AIRPORT

 

Tracetec recovered a Volvo truck on 24 Novemeber 2011 at the Komatieport airport. The truck, stolen in Potchefstroom the previous night, was probably on route to either the Mozambique or Swaziland border post. The Tracetec tracking and recovery device led the recovery team to the airport, where they found the truck and driver. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended and taken into custody at the scene. The case is now under investigation.
