VOLKSWAGEN CITI GOLF

 

A suspect has been arrested and a Volkswagen Citi Golf recovered by Tracetec, after it was stolen in Johannesburg early this month. The vehicle was recovered in Les Marais after it was located by the Tracetec recovery team parked on the side of a road near a pawn shop. A single male suspect was sitting in the parked vehicle and then got out and went into a nearby pawn shop. As luck would have it a police vehicle from the local police station came around the corner. The Tracetec team flagged them down for assistance and explained the situation. They then proceeded to the pawn shop together where the Tracetec recovery agent identified the driver, who was then apprehended and placed under arrest. They searched his person and found a set of keys belonging to the stolen vehicle. The vehicle and suspect were taken to the Wonderboom Poort police station and the case handed over for further investigation. The Citi Golf was returned to a very relieved owner.
