NISSAN UD40 TRUCK

 

While on holiday in the Kruger National Park a Tracetec client was informed by his staff that his Nissan UD40 truck had been stolen in Gauteng. The truck was “red flagged” and the Tracetec recovery teams notified. The truck began travelling north west, possibly headed towards the border with Botswana. The truck was located by the Tracetec recovery team and they began following the truck, while waiting for the SAPS to arrive. The SAPS arrived on scene, approaching the truck from the front. They instructed the driver of the stolen truck to stop. The driver ignored the instruction and a dangerous chase with the SAPS ensued. The driver lost control of the vehicle and careered off the road. He flung himself out of the vehicle, landed running and attempted to flee the scene. The man was quickly apprehended and taken into custody by the SAPS.
